What Systems and Support Do You Offer?
Beginning with on-boarding for each new franchisee at our Support Center in Fort Worth, Texas, and pre-store training for owners, managers and bakers, Gigi’s provides stellar ongoing training for every team member responsible for operating a Gigi’s location.
Our owner web portal provides updated training resources useful in the day-to-day operation of a store. We host a manager training conference, and opportunities to bring all our franchisees together to share their vision, ideas and best practices. In addition, our corporate trainers periodically visit stores to assist in all facets of store operations.
We provide all the marketing support owners need to hit the ground running. Gigi’s headquarters provides step-by-step guidance on how to execute a successful grand opening, and we provide expertise on launching and growing your store’s social media presence. Gigi’s also has a talented in-house graphic team that provides Gigi’s-branded promotional graphics that help drive sales and build brand recognition.
Prior to opening their first location, our franchisees are required to complete Gigi’s Owner Training program, which includes a full week of owner-specific training. In addition, franchisee’s and four key employees undergo 2 full weeks of initial training prior to opening the doors. This includes both classroom and in-store instruction. “We leave no stone unturned to ensure all our operators are confident in the ‘Gigi’s Way’ and properly set-up for success,” says Jay Battle, Senior VP of Operations.
We teach you to bake and decorate
Gigi’s owners need not have baking experience, but we do look for franchisees who are passionate about baking or the cupcake industry. We will train your store baker with all the skills needed to operate our state-of-the-art ovens, and your decorator will learn to master the “Gigi’s way” as well as the Gigi’s signature swirl — the hallmark of our beautiful and delicious gourmet cupcakes.
Field training support doesn’t end on opening day
On any given day, our field training team is working directly with franchise owners, store managers and staff at a new store pre-opening, at a store grand opening weekend, or at one of our Gigi’s Cupcakes locations around the country providing ongoing training and in-store support. This team of industry veterans spends the majority of their time on the road helping to implement operational best practices. Every store in the Gigi’s franchise system is visited at least once a year and often more. Our team works hard to build solid, trustworthy relationships with each and every franchise owner and local store team member, to help them build their business.
